Brookside Winery, Guasti, California. And reassembled it at our place. 10:30 AM Kent Graham and Eric
McConnon drain water out of steam lines and fill lubricators prior to operating engine.
Above Studio Five, Steam Dragline. Besides operating (on compressed air versus steam) for Houdini, this
dragline has a famous history. It worked around the Los Angeles Basin for decades through different owners.
A friend of Virgil White, Al Holten, owned it for awhile, he put it on a barge and worked a Breakwater with
it. I asked Virgil Sunday if this crane would run if the boiler was fixed and he told me yes. That is the boiler
lying on the ground on its side parallel to the boom in the above far right picture.

Boozing and Fighting, I did not ask. Instead at home I looked on the Internet. Founded in 1946 by some
returning from the second world war military veterans, who found life now really really dull. They are proponents
of boozing and fighting and their website says that it was they that got into an altercation with the
residents of Hollister California Riot
July 4 - 6, 1947.
Above far left, left and right: putting a load on our Holt 120 six cylinder gas engine, with our Baker fan.

6:10 PM Below feeding begins. Seems every time we have this dinner we try something new, to help
organize and get people fed quickly. Always takes a long time to feed 250 people with only one food line.
Tonight we tried numbered tables. People were called by table numbers. I did not detect any feeding
speed increase?
Below far right, overflow crowd set up out doors.
Above far right, a cool-ish breeze wafting in the open door caught my attention,
