New Front Entry Signs

The top left picture taken by David Denny June 23, 2006 shows the edge of our old main entry sign. That is decades long Museum Volunteers Joan and John Hollenitsch spray painting our gate tractor. The other three pictures by Greg Hayden, July 25, 2005. Top right Guajome Park Academy had just put up this new sign. Above left: View from across the street. Estate Sale sign was for our Last Sunday in July Consignment Auction Below four April 8, 2007 David Denny pictures of Museum Volunteers planting new sign poles.

Above right, left to right, that is Richard Green, Rudy Dremely, Bob Morley, Keith Richards and Sharon Martin. This project was just one April 2007 Bob Morley Work Weekend completed tasks. Below four May 11, 2007 Greg Hayden pictures showing our new gate signs. Below left that is David Denny getting out of his golf cart. Confined to crutches Dave does not travel very fast. Especially on uneven ground.

Above right: The plan was we would get a picture of Dave standing up straight without his crutches. While Dave got into place I had taken twenty more pictures. This was the last, Dave just putting down his last crutch. My camera then shut itself off. Battery died. Below four Greg Hayden pictures of our newly elected (February The Ignitor Front Cover Picture) January 20, 2007, Board of Trustees President, Jeanette, Mrs. Mike Stevens. Below left: Picture taken to include with her Prospective Trustee Resume, in our December 2004 The Ignitor. Jeanette was elected to our Board January 2005. Mike -- membership # 6821 and Jeanette -- membership # 6822 -- Stevens joined our Museum June 25, 2001. Both got involved with various areas of our Museum. Jeanette especially in our Farmhouse, where she is now Chair. Below right June Show 2005 Farmhouse picture in front of 2005 Raffle Quilt. About this time I was told that Jeanette asked someone "who is that creepy guy who always wants to take my picture?" Jeanette learned that was me.

In the 48 year history of our organization, Jeanette Stevens is our FIRST woman President. Our organization incorporated in 1969, but did not get our Vista land until 1976. Before and after 1976 we displayed at many Southern California Fairs and Festivals. Antelope Valley Fair September - October 1979 The Ignitor front cover.

Below our June 2007 Show Program. IF everyone who says that they are coming, do, our June 2007 Show will be our LARGEST SHOW IN YEARS. Jeanette Stevens has encouraged members to make suggestions. And they have. Jeanette is truly listening. Jeanette speaks of our Volunteers as Team Members. Jeanette often says: "We are all in this together. Together we all can make a difference." This year we are doing a lot of new things. Like our FREE catered Hot Dog Dinner for EVERYONE, Members, Exhibitors, Crafters and Campers; Friday June 15 and Friday June 22, from 4:30 to 7:30PM. And our second Saturday evening Potluck Dinner for not only just our Members, as in years past, but including our Exhibitors, Crafters and Campers. And for the FIRST time we will have Live Entertainment Nitro Express Band playing from 5:30 -- 8:30 PM during our Saturday June 23 Potluck. And there are a lot of other new things planned. Whyn't you come visit us for our June Show and see for yourself?
